High highs and low lows

 Hejsan!

Vilken vecka asså!

It feels like SO many things happened. For better or for worse, haha!

A Monday night miracle:
We went out to talk to people at 7 pm--when it's cold and dark--and ran into one of the most prepared people I've ever met on my mission. His name is *Mitch, and we caught him right after he left the gym.
We asked him what gives him hope, and he didn't know. So he returned the question, and Syster Rollins explained that our hope comes from our faith in God and Jesus Christ.
He immediately lit up, and we told him about why we were in Sweden and some details about our church. He was very interested, and we met with him on Saturday!

The best lesson ever:
We gave him a tour around the church, which he loved, and then taught him about the Restoration. He had awesome questions!
By the end of the lesson, he said that:
1) God gives us the gift of discernment so that we can know what comes from Jesus Christ, and what doesn't. And that he can feel that the Book of Mormon comes from Christ.
2) He wants to read the Book of Mormon every day.
3) He can feel a power in our church, and that power is the power of humility.
4) He wants to know what we believe about life after death, because he knows that there's three heavens that can be compared with the stars and the moon and so forth.
WHAT??!?

I almost cried. It was awesome.

This week, we also:
- had to stop teaching one of our friends due to some disturbing circumstances. Tufft.
- went to a Thanksgiving celebration with two American families in our ward! They lived out in the middle of nowhere, and the drive was SO beautiful.
- met with an old guy who was SO hard to understand, and he kept making jokes about getting married. Oj.
- had a lesson with our friend *Mont, where we talked more about the need for a Savior, and how the Atonement of Jesus Christ works.
--> we were struggling to answer some of his deeper questions, and I had the thought to read in Alma 34:8-15 with him. After that, he said that all of his questions were answered. Crazy. I love the scriptures. They're so much better at explaining than we are.
- had a ward activity where we made some Christmas decorations! #gulligt
- it was wet and cold the whole week. But it finally snowed!!

Missions are the best. I'm so grateful to be here.

Have an amazing week, and happy late Thanksgiving!

A Thursday Night Dop

Hej alla! This past week was a little bit crazy, but it was great! Our friend Frida was supposed to get baptized on Saturday, but then asked if we could move it to Thursday! So we did! It was really great. A lot of members came to support her, and it was very sweet. Unfortunately, she was supposed to get confirmed on Sunday and then felt really sick that morning and couldn't come to church... it'll have to be next Sunday, then! (Though I won't be there to see it...)  We also: - helped our friend move apartments, and met a friend of his who personally knows Bob Marley, Muhammad Ali, and several other famous people. He then played his harmonica for us. Very cool. - we also met his other friend who was also there help him move, and we gave him a Book of Mormon!  - Had some good lessons with great friends  - Had a lesson with a girl who admitted that she's actually trying to convert us into being pentecostal...
