The 10 miracles

 HEJ ALLA

This week was awesome. We found 10 new people to teach! Which is more than I've ever found in one week. It was the best. And I'm EXHAUSTED.

We:
- started teaching *Anna's son!
- had the Uppsala sisters on Splits.
- had Syster Meredith on Splits!
- ate in a sketchy pizza place, and just happened to be sitting right next to a guy who was planning to come to our Bible study! #wow! Then the owner gave us free suckers.
- laughed so hard I almost shed a tear because a guy tried to impersonate a frog and it looked nothing like a frog.
- met a lot of people on the street.

Missions are cool. Love you all. I don't have much time.

End of an Era

Hej!  This past week has been great. As always, we've seen miracles. And weird things, too! But I'm just absolutely filled with gratitude to be a servant of the Lord. Especially this past week, for some reason. This week we: -had an awesome lesson with a young Father, who's just trying to mend his relationship with God. Very pure.  - taught our friend *Anna and her 18 year-old son about prayer.  - made breakfast and watched general conference with our members and our friends on Sunday morning. #swedishvåfflor  - gave out a Book of Mormon in Persian to a sweet old lady who tried to speak Persian to us for like 10 minutes.  - got to have a great lesson with our friend *Marianne, and she had a lot of great questions about conference.  - got to eat some homemade rulltårta with one of our friends and his family. Very cute.  - had in-person distriktsråd and the Elders made us lunch. It was like a finish version of baked macaroni and cheese.  - fi...

På Svenska?

Hello friends! Time is starting to fly.  This past week has been VERY Swedish-focused, which I guess makes sense since we're going to be speaking it 24/7 in just two weeks now.  A couple funny things: - last week Sister Cook received an ENORMOUS bag of Swedish fish (svenska fisk) in the mail, so one of our favorite pastimes during our study breaks has been throwing Swedish fish into each other's mouths. Not to brag, but I did, in fact, catch four (4) Swedish fish in a row, all thrown from a considerable distance away. Probably one of my proudest moments.  - at district council, we all decided it would be a good idea to go around and make pros and cons lists about everyone in our district. We were all laughing really hard.  - one of our district's ~less spiritual goals~ is to learn the dance and lyrics to a popular Swedish song from the 80s called Diggi-loo Diggi-lay.  - One morning I put my bagel in the toaster, and when I came back to retrieve i...

High highs and low lows

Hejsan!  Vilken vecka asså!  It feels like SO many things happened. For better or for worse, haha!  A Monday night miracle:  We went out to talk to people at 7 pm--when it's cold and dark--and ran into one of the most prepared people I've ever met on my mission. His name is *Mitch, and we caught him right after he left the gym.  We asked him what gives him hope, and he didn't know. So he returned the question, and Syster Rollins explained that our hope comes from our faith in God and Jesus Christ.  He immediately lit up, and we told him about why we were in Sweden and some details about our church. He was very interested, and we met with him on Saturday!  The best lesson ever: We gave him a tour around the church, which he loved, and then taught him about the Restoration. He had awesome questions! By the end of the lesson, he said that: 1) God gives us the gift of discernment so that we can know what comes from Jesus Christ, and what doesn't. An...
