Hejsan!
It feels like SO much happened this week. I will make bullet points of everything I can remember.
- we taught a lesson on Monday that went till 11 pm. Oopsies. But worth it!
- ate a Turkish feast featuring a random girl Syster Prendy met on the tunnelbana. It was truly an experience. Imagine an entire table of food, but the only thing you recognize is a pasta salad in the corner.
- went to visit a member, and the 8-year-old daughter forced us to do races and kept sticking a soccer ball up our shirts because it was ~part of the challenge~
- had Midsommar on Friday, and danced like a frog around the may pole. I held a lot of sweaty strangers' hands, and it was very funny and wholesome.
- baked a cake with our ward mission leader after our Midsommar celebration.
- finally met with and gave a Book of Mormon to our friend who works at the tunnelbana station we live close to! We used to wave and say hi every day--and then one day he asked us about what we're doing here in Sweden. Turns out, he used to play basketball with some other missionaries about 4 years ago!
- had some other awesome lessons.
- one of the members in our ward makes video montages every time we go over, and it's truly hilarious. She made another one this week.
There was one day where we were going around asking people what the most important thing in life is, and we started talking with a guy who lives near the temple here in Sweden.
He said that he doesn't really know what he believes, but that there's one moment that's always stuck with him when it comes to Jesus Christ:
That when everybody persecuted, spit upon, and mocked Christ--He, in turn, said a prayer that God would forgive them.
And I love this. Christ was truly the perfect example of patience, love, charity, and humility. I'm so grateful for the opportunity we had to study about the very last hours of Jesus Christ's life this past week.
Have a good week! And eat a strawberry. They won't taste as good as the fresh ones here in Sweden, but it'll taste good nonetheless.đ
