The Rain and the Miracles

 Hej alla!

What a week. Holy cow.

There was a point in the week where we were soaking wet, and I had to pee SO bad, and so we were told that there was a bathroom at the top of like 8 flights of stairs--and so we went all the way up, only to find no bathroom. So we were just very wet and very uncomfortable. For quite a long time. But hey, that's show biz.

Otherwise, we had some of the most awesome lessons of my whole mission this week.

-We taught a guy who we met in the mall about two weeks ago, and he had awesome questions about the Plan of Salvation. He told us at the end that he could see how merciful God truly is.
-We taught a man that Syster Prendergast met on Facebook, and he said that he wants to rekindle the faith he had as a kid. I very much admire the pure desire he has to come back to God.
-We taught a woman named Wanda*, and she is amazing. She has had a very hard life, and wants to restart and connect with Jesus Christ. And she wants to be baptized! Pretty sweet.

We also:
- had a ward missionary kick-off and Bishop bought us all pizza. #freepizzamoment
- made banana bread
- had a stake service project and made a bunch of cheese sandwiches to be given out to homeless people!
- ate the most disgusting sandwich to ever exist that was essentially just raw shrimp and mayonnaise. And it was at 8:15 in the morning. Tufft.

Yay! I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to teach people about Jesus Christ and God's plan for us. It's the best.

Have a good week!

Salt Lake City Swag

Hallå everyone! This past week was pretty awesome. I still have no news of when I'm going to Sweden, but I assume it'll be at the end of this transfer. So three more weeks! (Probably.)  One of many miracles: Last Tuesday, me and Sister Hendrix were going to go bother a less active family that lives in an apartment complex nearby. We knocked, but they weren't home/didn't answer the door.  A couple doors down the hall though, there was a little boy standing outside and staring at us. So I walked over to him, and asked if his parents were home. He stared at me in fear for a couple of seconds, but then disappeared into the room--sending his mom to the door.  She invited us inside, and expressed how she felt like her faith has been lacking lately, and she doesn't know what she's doing in her life.  We shared a little bit about the plan of Salvation with her, and she told us that the past couple days she had been praying for God to send her a sign that he knows her...
