20 Hours on the Train

 Tjena tjena!

This past week we had both a mission tour conference in Göteborg, and then MLC in Stockholm! It was chaos--and it feels like I was hardly in my own area!

And it was a LOT of time spent on the train.
But it was fun.

In the time that I WAS in Lund, we were able to have an awesome lesson with a guy who we met by knocking doors. He has read quite a few chapters of the Book of Mormon at this point, and told us that he doesn't know if he has faith yet-- but that he wants to! Which is an amazing start. Anybody who has even a desire to believe, a desire to have faith, or a desire to find truth--can find peace and clarity in the doctrine of Jesus Christ. And it's something we can develop over time as we do just small acts to try and come closer to Him.

Other cool events that happened:
- We had fast and testimony meeting in church yesterday, and one of our investigators was incredibly touched by some of the brave kids that went up to share their testimonies. He leaned over and said to me "Suffer the little children to come unto me," as spoken by Christ. And it was really beautiful.
- Me and Syster Welton made banana muffins with my old bananas which were piling up since we were out of town all week.
- We met a woman who said she really wants to learn more about our church and have regular meetings with us!
- I got to see good friends and past companions at the conferences!

And lastly, we got TRANSFER NEWS!
-->I'm going to be moving to Stockholm this Wednesday, and I'll be in an area called Gubbängen! I've heard great things about it.

It'll be weird to leave this town that I love, and the awesome people that I've met here. But I'm excited for what's ahead!

End of an Era

Hej!  This past week has been great. As always, we've seen miracles. And weird things, too! But I'm just absolutely filled with gratitude to be a servant of the Lord. Especially this past week, for some reason. This week we: -had an awesome lesson with a young Father, who's just trying to mend his relationship with God. Very pure.  - taught our friend *Anna and her 18 year-old son about prayer.  - made breakfast and watched general conference with our members and our friends on Sunday morning. #swedishvåfflor  - gave out a Book of Mormon in Persian to a sweet old lady who tried to speak Persian to us for like 10 minutes.  - got to have a great lesson with our friend *Marianne, and she had a lot of great questions about conference.  - got to eat some homemade rulltårta with one of our friends and his family. Very cute.  - had in-person distriktsråd and the Elders made us lunch. It was like a finish version of baked macaroni and cheese.  - fi...

A fever and a new comp

Tjena! What a week. It was Kaos.  We: - ran around so that Syster Yoachum could say goodbye to everyone before leaving  - had hot chocolate and walnuts with our friend *Matt  - had transfers  - got sick **bonus points, I had a fever and felt AWFUL on transfer day so I stayed home at the apartment to sleep and break my fever before my new companion came to the area. #apostate **extra bonus points, my voice sounds like a grandma who has smoked for like 60 years - did a bunch of street contacting  - put our friend *Anna on date for baptism at the end of September!!! She's come to church 4 times now and she has such a pure soul. Love her.  My new companion is Syster Jaques, (pronounced like Jakes), and she's great! I think we'll have a fun transfer.  Yay! Have a good week everyone, and please enjoy the feeling of not being sick !  Syster Naatjes    Syster Jaques and I in the city hot chocolate and walnuts  the trio (eyes closed) Fika wi...

A Fortnight in Stockholm

Tjena!  This week went by pretty quickly. On Thursday we took the 5 hour train to Stockholm for Splits, and then came back the VERY next day. Another 5 hours. What a gem of a ride. But it was fun!  I got to split with Syster Layton, who is SUPER NICE. We taught a 10 year old boy who's getting baptized next Saturday, and he goes to a special elementary school for dancers. When we asked him for dancing advice, he told us, mid-stretch, "don't be afraid to do your thing."  Amen.  This week, me and Syster Welton: - were broke - picked up a weight set that my parents sent me in the mail💪 - taught *John about the restoration!  - taught a cute little family about the Word of Wisdom, and they took it INCREDIBLY well. Amazingly well.  - ate semlor! It's a seasonal pastry in Sweden, and it was pretty dang good! It's like a soft bun with marzipan and almond creme.  - met some new friends!  - got preached to by a mildly crazy lady. But it's okay, we lo...
