A Busy Sunday

 Hello everyone!

We're going to hop straight in.

This week we:
-Gave out more Books of Mormon on the street and by knocking doors. Always fun.
- Finally met with a really cute family that had been difficult to meet with!
- Met with one of Syster Kearns' distant relatives who lives right outside of Lund! They got in contact with one another through ancestry and were able to meet and talk Swedish together! It was actually really cool. Syster Kearns got to explain that it was because of our religion that their common ancestors fled to the US, and is also now the reason why she's back here in Sweden. #fullcircle
- Got kicked out of a Svenska Kyrka by a svenska kyrka priest who asked us to take off our name tags. Classy.
- Met a man who had no idea that his wife of 35 years is a member of our church and listened to him explain his deep, complicated, philosophical ideas.
- Got rejected many times on the street.
-Had FIVE PEOPLE come to church yesterday! It was INSANE! We had our cute little family of three, an old Romanian guy named *John, and another guy who actually sought out our number and called us during the week wanting to meet. They all had good experiences, and the members here are always AMAZING at welcoming our friends to our services. It was a miracle.

I have such a testimony that God calls and works through the weak. I'm not the best teacher, I'm not the best at Swedish, and I have MUCH to improve upon. But the Lord consecrates the effort that we put in to make His work go forward. Through him, we are enough.

Have a nice week!

We literally go to Stadsparken almost every day and this past week was the first time I noticed a cage with a chicken in it.

Elevator moment.

End of an Era

Hej!  This past week has been great. As always, we've seen miracles. And weird things, too! But I'm just absolutely filled with gratitude to be a servant of the Lord. Especially this past week, for some reason. This week we: -had an awesome lesson with a young Father, who's just trying to mend his relationship with God. Very pure.  - taught our friend *Anna and her 18 year-old son about prayer.  - made breakfast and watched general conference with our members and our friends on Sunday morning. #swedishvåfflor  - gave out a Book of Mormon in Persian to a sweet old lady who tried to speak Persian to us for like 10 minutes.  - got to have a great lesson with our friend *Marianne, and she had a lot of great questions about conference.  - got to eat some homemade rulltårta with one of our friends and his family. Very cute.  - had in-person distriktsråd and the Elders made us lunch. It was like a finish version of baked macaroni and cheese.  - fi...

High highs and low lows

Hejsan!  Vilken vecka asså!  It feels like SO many things happened. For better or for worse, haha!  A Monday night miracle:  We went out to talk to people at 7 pm--when it's cold and dark--and ran into one of the most prepared people I've ever met on my mission. His name is *Mitch, and we caught him right after he left the gym.  We asked him what gives him hope, and he didn't know. So he returned the question, and Syster Rollins explained that our hope comes from our faith in God and Jesus Christ.  He immediately lit up, and we told him about why we were in Sweden and some details about our church. He was very interested, and we met with him on Saturday!  The best lesson ever: We gave him a tour around the church, which he loved, and then taught him about the Restoration. He had awesome questions! By the end of the lesson, he said that: 1) God gives us the gift of discernment so that we can know what comes from Jesus Christ, and what doesn't. An...
