A Busy Sunday

 Hello everyone!

We're going to hop straight in.

This week we:
-Gave out more Books of Mormon on the street and by knocking doors. Always fun.
- Finally met with a really cute family that had been difficult to meet with!
- Met with one of Syster Kearns' distant relatives who lives right outside of Lund! They got in contact with one another through ancestry and were able to meet and talk Swedish together! It was actually really cool. Syster Kearns got to explain that it was because of our religion that their common ancestors fled to the US, and is also now the reason why she's back here in Sweden. #fullcircle
- Got kicked out of a Svenska Kyrka by a svenska kyrka priest who asked us to take off our name tags. Classy.
- Met a man who had no idea that his wife of 35 years is a member of our church and listened to him explain his deep, complicated, philosophical ideas.
- Got rejected many times on the street.
-Had FIVE PEOPLE come to church yesterday! It was INSANE! We had our cute little family of three, an old Romanian guy named *John, and another guy who actually sought out our number and called us during the week wanting to meet. They all had good experiences, and the members here are always AMAZING at welcoming our friends to our services. It was a miracle.

I have such a testimony that God calls and works through the weak. I'm not the best teacher, I'm not the best at Swedish, and I have MUCH to improve upon. But the Lord consecrates the effort that we put in to make His work go forward. Through him, we are enough.

Have a nice week!

We literally go to Stadsparken almost every day and this past week was the first time I noticed a cage with a chicken in it.

Elevator moment.

End of an Era

Hej!  This past week has been great. As always, we've seen miracles. And weird things, too! But I'm just absolutely filled with gratitude to be a servant of the Lord. Especially this past week, for some reason. This week we: -had an awesome lesson with a young Father, who's just trying to mend his relationship with God. Very pure.  - taught our friend *Anna and her 18 year-old son about prayer.  - made breakfast and watched general conference with our members and our friends on Sunday morning. #swedishvåfflor  - gave out a Book of Mormon in Persian to a sweet old lady who tried to speak Persian to us for like 10 minutes.  - got to have a great lesson with our friend *Marianne, and she had a lot of great questions about conference.  - got to eat some homemade rulltårta with one of our friends and his family. Very cute.  - had in-person distriktsråd and the Elders made us lunch. It was like a finish version of baked macaroni and cheese.  - fi...

A fever and a new comp

Tjena! What a week. It was Kaos.  We: - ran around so that Syster Yoachum could say goodbye to everyone before leaving  - had hot chocolate and walnuts with our friend *Matt  - had transfers  - got sick **bonus points, I had a fever and felt AWFUL on transfer day so I stayed home at the apartment to sleep and break my fever before my new companion came to the area. #apostate **extra bonus points, my voice sounds like a grandma who has smoked for like 60 years - did a bunch of street contacting  - put our friend *Anna on date for baptism at the end of September!!! She's come to church 4 times now and she has such a pure soul. Love her.  My new companion is Syster Jaques, (pronounced like Jakes), and she's great! I think we'll have a fun transfer.  Yay! Have a good week everyone, and please enjoy the feeling of not being sick !  Syster Naatjes    Syster Jaques and I in the city hot chocolate and walnuts  the trio (eyes closed) Fika wi...

Fest after Fest

Tjena!  This week was full of parties. We had a ward grillfest, AND our new member Katarina had her birthday party. Both were good. And both were scheduled at the same time on the same day. So we hopped back and forth!  We also: -met a group of old Iraqian dudes that had a lot to say about the US government -talked with a woman who was walking her pet bunny, and got her number!  - had a bunch of friends at church actually! Our friend that we met on the street two weeks ago came again, and brought her daughter with her! #slay -called a random dude in our records, and reached him EXACTLY when he had sat down to smoke a bunch of cigarettes. He said he felt really alone in his life, and thanked us for calling him. He said that because we called, he knows that God is aware of him.  PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! God is aware of every one of his children. Including you. In the words of Ammon: "Yea, and [God] looketh down upon all the children of men; and he knows all ...
