A Fortnight in Stockholm

 Tjena!

This week went by pretty quickly. On Thursday we took the 5 hour train to Stockholm for Splits, and then came back the VERY next day. Another 5 hours. What a gem of a ride. But it was fun!

I got to split with Syster Layton, who is SUPER NICE. We taught a 10 year old boy who's getting baptized next Saturday, and he goes to a special elementary school for dancers. When we asked him for dancing advice, he told us, mid-stretch, "don't be afraid to do your thing."

Amen.

This week, me and Syster Welton:
- were broke
- picked up a weight set that my parents sent me in the mail💪
- taught *John about the restoration!
- taught a cute little family about the Word of Wisdom, and they took it INCREDIBLY well. Amazingly well.
- ate semlor! It's a seasonal pastry in Sweden, and it was pretty dang good! It's like a soft bun with marzipan and almond creme.
- met some new friends!
- got preached to by a mildly crazy lady. But it's okay, we love her.
- taught a Come Follow Me class! One of the members who attends looked at my hands during class and asked me if I had worn gloves that day. The answer was no, unfortunately, and she was very disappointed. She told me that my hands look terrible, and that they'll look terrible when I get old. She then made me wear gloves during class. Lesson learned, haha!

A scripture for this week is Ether 12:6.

"And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."

I know that God works in our lives according to our faith. But we must ACT on our faith in order to see it.

Ha det så bra!

Warning: do not try to use a Styrofoam box as a weight bench. (Not that I would ever do that).

It's bulk season everyone.

Salt Lake City Swag

Hallå everyone! This past week was pretty awesome. I still have no news of when I'm going to Sweden, but I assume it'll be at the end of this transfer. So three more weeks! (Probably.)  One of many miracles: Last Tuesday, me and Sister Hendrix were going to go bother a less active family that lives in an apartment complex nearby. We knocked, but they weren't home/didn't answer the door.  A couple doors down the hall though, there was a little boy standing outside and staring at us. So I walked over to him, and asked if his parents were home. He stared at me in fear for a couple of seconds, but then disappeared into the room--sending his mom to the door.  She invited us inside, and expressed how she felt like her faith has been lacking lately, and she doesn't know what she's doing in her life.  We shared a little bit about the plan of Salvation with her, and she told us that the past couple days she had been praying for God to send her a sign that he knows her...
