Miracle O'Clock

Hej Hej!  Where to begin. I have no idea. But this past week was amazing.  For one thing, we had a week long English fast--which was certainly a challenge. But me and Syster Taylor only almost killed each other like three times, so I'd call that a win💪 And now, for a flurry of miracles: - We received a referral for a guy who recently moved here from Germany, and we were supposed to meet him on Monday night. BUT- on Monday night, he wasn't responding to us, and we didn't really know where he lived. We knew what building, but not which room. So we traveled to the apartment building, and decided to call a random room to let us into the building. They did! But then what? We were in his building, but we had no idea where to go. Syster Taylor suggested that we pray, so we did--boldly asking God to direct us to the apartment we needed to find. Immediately after, I had a strong impression that we needed to go up the stairs to another level. But once we did, I had no idea where...

Exchanges!

Hej alla!  This past week was good--per usual.  We met a girl to give her some Mormons böcker for both her and her boyfriend, and ended up talking with her for almost two hours! She had tons of questions...we talked about the Plan of Salvation, the Restoration, temples, and even went over the baptismal questions! Probably one of the beefiest lessons I've ever taught.  We got TWO MEMBER MEALS this past week, which was super clutch. The members here are AMAZING.  Then, we had exchanges from Friday to Saturday--and traveled to Landskrona! It was super fun to meet other sisters and see another part of Sweden.  (But Lund is still the best.) (Area solidarity.) Some unexpected events: - I accidentally got hugged by a drunk Swede on the street  - Syster Taylor accidentally flooded the STL's apartment because their shower is broken  - I tried fish and chips for the first time and accidentally liked it - We were asked to make cupcakes again, for yet anoth...

An Escape to Denmark

Hej hej!  Wow. These past two weeks have been crazy. And awesome.  I know I've committed a very serious crime by going a week without writing--but I promise it was for a good cause.  Last week, our ward went on a trip to the Copenhagen Temple, and me and Syster Taylor got permission to change our p-day to Saturday so that we could join them!  It was super awesome. The session we went to was in Danish, so we had headphones in to listen in Swedish. I certainly didn't understand everything, but it's always really cool to recognize that you can feel the spirit in any language.  Some other things that happened:  - We had interviews with the mission president in Kristianstad. - We had ZonsKonferens, where we talked about the hope that the gospel brings. - We celebrated Syster Taylor's birthday by getting some ice cream and going to the DomKyrkan in Lund on our lunch break. - We met with a lot of our friends, including *Mason, who now hasn't smoked in three...

Swedish Food Continued...

Hej allihopa! Things are GOOD!  Some good things: - *Mason is on date for baptism, and is INCREDIBLY faithful. His determination and willingness to learn is inspiring. - We went to a taco party, and were able to teach about the nature of God in the midst of a bunch of people drinking beer. Interesting setting, but the spirit was able to shine through nonetheless.  - We did a LOT of service. Much service. It was great. - A member in our ward asked us to make cupcakes for her son's birthday party because her oven broke. Of course, we agreed to help, only to find out the night before the party that our oven was also broken. Not ideal, but the Lord provides a way!!! We met our neighbors, who allowed us to use their oven, and were able to finish baking all of the cupcakes at the church. #swag - Me and Sister Taylor discovered that we are secretly amazing at decorating cupcakes. Starting a business soon. Stay tuned.  - We had a mission-wide zoom call, where President Dav...
