Hej Hej

 Tjena! What a crazy time. I love our ward, I love our friends, and I love the snow that we're getting.  This past week we didn't have as many lessons, but the lessons we DID have were golden. 1) We're teaching a Swedish girl about our age and invited a member along. Turns out they work at the same place! It was awesome, they got along great.  2) We had a lesson with our friend *Mont, and talked about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He said that he would love to be baptized, but just needs to grow his faith a little more. His biggest problem is that our doctrine sounds "too perfect to be true." We love him!  3) We had a lesson with our friend *Mitch, and taught him about the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well!! At the end we asked him if he'd be interested in baptism, and he said absolutely. He then picked January 14th!! #miracle  PLUS-- *Mont and his wife even came to our ward Christmas party, and the ward loved them. It was awesome.  I'll be coming home next Mon...

  Tjena!  This week was great! We had a lot of lessons, and went on Splits.  But one of the bestest things to ever happen was that THREE of our friends came to church on Sunday. Getting our friends to church has been a challenge for us, but they CAME! And they really, really liked it. Our members gave amazing testimonies focused on Jesus Christ, and the spirit was strong.  And I had the opportunity to bear my testimony in Swedish for the last time. Kinda sad!  We also had a BUNCH of lessons with members this week, and it was a huge win.  Plus: - One of our favorite members gave us some surprise burrito tacos that were a little sus lol - our area borders Norway, and we went to the Norwegian border on pday today! #rebels  I know that Christ lives!   Hejsan!  Vilken vecka asså!  It feels like SO many things happened. For better or for worse, haha!  A Monday night miracle:  We went out to talk to people at 7 pm--when it's cold and dark--and ran into one of the most prepared people I've ever met on my mission. His name is *Mitch, and we caught him right after he left the gym.  We asked him what gives him hope, and he didn't know. So he returned the question, and Syster Rollins explained that our hope comes from our faith in God and Jesus Christ.  He immediately lit up, and we told him about why we were in Sweden and some details about our church. He was very interested, and we met with him on Saturday!  The best lesson ever: We gave him a tour around the church, which he loved, and then taught him about the Restoration.  Tjena! This week was great!  We got TWO MEMBER referrals and it turns out one of them met with the missionaries over twenty years ago and loves our church!! She said that the members of our church "are love." Super cute.  We also: - went to a birthday party for a less active member and they served us papusas!! That was my first papusa experience. #shoutouttobeth - played innebandy at the church with some cool people - had a lesson about the nature of God with our friend *Mont. It was awesome. Everyone go read Alma 42. - accidentally cried in a Willy's grocery store  - met a really nice old Swedish guy on the street, and answered his questions about us and our church for about 30 minutes. And his wife was adorable, too.  - received a lasagna  - spoke in sacrament meeting on Sunday! #nice On Sunday, I spoke about miracles. Our God is a God of miracles!  Hej!  We had a lot of ~events~ this week!   -We had a small ward activity at the home of a member and played a trivia game and ate some dinner together.  - went on exchanges in Alingsås with Syster Arnett, which was fun! We had four great lessons on the street and even got to share two scriptures out of the Book of Mormon  --> bonus: the four of us also ate an entire banana bread before going to bed - had in-person distrikt council here in Trollhättan, which was fun - did service for our favorite member, Christel  - had a great lesson about the Plan of Salvation and prophets  - I don't know how to explain this exactly, but we went to a youth activity where we were running around in the dark and I collided with a 17 year old and collapsed to the floor. I also collided with the bishop. Very nice.  - met a random Bosnian guy who showed up at church!! #miracles  I don't have much time, but hope all is well!  Syster Naatjes Syster Ar...

  Hejsan!  This week was good. We had some miracles, and got to visit a bunch of members that are hard to get in contact with.  We had some good lessons: - Went through the Word of Wisdom with our friend *Pete and he took it really well.  - Read in Alma 32 with *Mont AND had an awesome member (who just barely moved into the ward) tag along. They both have backgrounds with the Islam faith, so it was really powerful to have our member from Turkey testify about our church and the beautiful doctrines we have.  Also: - knocked on a door, and the lady who opened it screamed.  - went on the street and had a Swedish guy ask me if he could "take up his argument against god" to me. I said yes, and we had a great conversation.  - had our first sports activity, and played innebandy and badminton. Truly not the most popular sports in my head, but they're pretty big here in Sweden so those were the requests.  - skipped church because Sys Rollins wasn't feeling ...

Tjena!  The title of this email is not to say that this past week has been especially amazing, or that anything particularly life-changing happened--though there are definitely miracles every day! It's more because of the fact that we were quite literally followed by a camera for two whole days this past week... Long story short, Syster Jacques and I met a guy in Stockholm who was quite interested in our missionary work, and he wanted to make a short documentary about us as missionaries in the most secular country in the world. So this past week, he and his crew came to do some filming with us!🙃 Pros: - got to meet some cool camera crew men - they bought us lunch two days in a row #schnitzel #freefood - when awkward things would happen on the street, we had a crew to look to and laugh with #feltliketheoffice - they had great questions  Cons: - it was awkward to have a camera pointed at me - it was exhausting  - I have now been recorded while speaking in Swedish which I N...

 Tjena !  What a time to be alive.  At the beginning of last week we had two AWESOME lessons. Some of my favorite lessons of my mission. - we talked about the Plan of Salvation with our friend *Carlos, who talks at the speed of light, and he was very impressed with a lot of the concepts that we have. Great feeling.  - had a lesson with a man named *Mont that we met on the street, and he is SO prepared for the gospel. He's pumped to read the Book of Mormon, and said that when he met us on the street that day he went home with a huge smile on his face.  Otherwise, we did quite a bit of finding... - met a guy who already had a Book of Mormon because he inherited it from his dad when he passed. He wasn't interested in meeting though. #dang  - met a group of French engineers  - had multiple people say that they've never once thought about what gives them hope in life.  We also went and visited some less active members, and when I went in for a handshak...

Hejsan!  I don't have much time, but I will make a quick bullet list of some things that happened this week: - a guy we met on the street came to church!  - that same guy gave us the Book of Mormon back  #dang - we met some wonderful families - a member gave us a whole pie - ate a fika with our star member Rune and our friend *Petra  - a guy on the street asked me if I have multiple wives, and then asked me for a kiss  #nothanks  - spoke in church about the power of the Book of Mormon! Or rather, talked about how we can feel Christ's power through the Book of Mormon. We live and we learn and we experience every day.  Some experiences are good, and some are bad.   HEJSAN!  What an awesome and eventful week I've had. Bittersweet. Exciting. New.  We spent a big portion of last week saying goodbye to all of the wonderful people I met in Jakobsberg. And it was great. It's crazy how quickly we can form meaningful relationships. I have a lot of people I'll miss.  And then, on Saturday, we had a giant meeting with all the new missionaries that arrived so that they could get matched up with their trainers. Both me and Syster Jaques are training this transfer, so we were both there. And it was exciting!  I got my new companion, Syster Rollins, and she's straight from the MTC! I've trained a couple times, but both of them were reassigned missionaries that had a little bit of experience beforehand. So this is new for me!  We then commenced our 6 hours of travel to get to Trollhättan--where a pair of cute members surprised us at the station! One of them gave us Smörgåstårta, which I've avoided my whole mission. You guys are go...

  Hej!  This past week has been great. As always, we've seen miracles. And weird things, too! But I'm just absolutely filled with gratitude to be a servant of the Lord. Especially this past week, for some reason. This week we: -had an awesome lesson with a young Father, who's just trying to mend his relationship with God. Very pure.  - taught our friend *Anna and her 18 year-old son about prayer.  - made breakfast and watched general conference with our members and our friends on Sunday morning. #swedishvåfflor  - gave out a Book of Mormon in Persian to a sweet old lady who tried to speak Persian to us for like 10 minutes.  - got to have a great lesson with our friend *Marianne, and she had a lot of great questions about conference.  - got to eat some homemade rulltårta with one of our friends and his family. Very cute.  - had in-person distriktsråd and the Elders made us lunch. It was like a finish version of baked macaroni and cheese.  - fi...
